I just recently moved to San Jose after living in Southern California all my life. I don't have any friends out here so I decided to join a meetup group. Over the weekend, my group met and painted pottery at a studio. I'm really happy with the results. The inspiration was Gustav Klimt's "The Kiss" painting.

I did not have much time to think about my technique because the film was developing very quickly. It was a very hot day in Riverside (what a surprise!) and I didn't bring anything that would help me cool the polaroids and slow the development. I used a pen cap for most of the outlining work on this one. For the previous picture, I used a water bottle cap. Not too impressive but it was my first try. I still have five prints left so hopefully I will be more successful at manipulating those. If you want to learn more about the soon-to-be-lost art of polaroid manipulation, click

This is Madeline and Monique at Fairmount Park. I caught them sun bathing by the lake. As soon as they noticed I was taking their picture with the intent of posting it on the internet, they got up and tried to cover up. Unfortunately for them, I'm a fast shooter and they were stiff from laying out for so long.
